An overview of Mount Wright's Processing Plant.
In the lower left corner is the crusher (orange building).
The crude ore is trucked from the mine pit and dumped into the crusher pit.
After being crushed, it is transported via a conveyer system (the white arched structure) to the storage silos, not shown in this photo.
The large aqua structure contains the processing plant where the crude ore is passed through a grinding mill.
It then moves to the spiral plant where it is separated into iron ore concentrate and waste. The product is placed in silos prior to shipping to Port Cartier. If the silos are filled before a train arrives, the product is stockpiled and later returned to the silos by a conveyer (the black pile on the right side).
The waste is pumped via pipeline to the tailings pile.

After processing the final product is sent to silos in the load-out.
These silos are equipped with loading gates.
An empty ore train passes underneath the silos, the loading gates are open, and the empty ore cars are filled.
Once loaded, the train transports the concentrate to Port Cartier.
The pellet plant facility for QCM is located at Port Cartier.
The ore transported from Mount Wright is either used in this facility to produce pellets or
sold as cinder feed.

The maintenance shop is where the heavy mining equipment is repaired. This photo was taken in January when approximately 7 of the annual 14 feet of snow has already fell.
