After leaving the ghost town of Gagnon, you travel for approximately 90 km. further on paved highway. This highway ends at the former QCM mine site of Fire Lake. The most prominent feature visible from the paved road are the two silos. If you continue through this intersection you may view the old mine and remains of the processing plant. If you turn left, you will eventually reach Fermont or Labrador City.
