The deep blue of the water is contrasted by the green of the pine trees surrounding it. These wooded areas contain a high population of moose. One needs to be very careful while driving these highways at any time of the day because apparently moose do not often use the designated moose crossings. If you are lucky, hitting a moose will only do serious damage to your vehicle; however, there have been many fatalities of drivers, passengers and moose.
