Salmonier Nature Park   Salmonier Nature Park

Salmonier Nature Park has an interesting history; it began as an educational facility and later interest grew into a tourist attraction. It's primary goal remains education with over 40,000 annual visitors coming to view the 84 species of birds, 15 species of mammals and over 170 species of vascular plants. Unlike traditional zoos, animals roam large areas similar to their natural habitat scattered over the 40 hectare park. People access these areas by a convenient boardwalk; unfortunately, that means not all the animals will be near the boardwalk for viewing.
