Since this is a suspension bridge, it is not fixed to the sides of the ravine. There is a space between end of the trail and the beginning of the "swinging" bridge.

One of the cables which keeps the suspension bridge in place. Since it is a sturdy structure, it doesn't swing much; however, there is some movement when walking.
