At one time, the area known as Green Gardens was used by farmers near Trout River as a livestock feeding area in summer. Today you may still see sheep grazing in this area. This area is now enjoyed and explored by hikers, sightseers and natural history buffs. In the summer, you may take a guided tour by Parks Canada's Interpreters who offer insights into the mysteries of this unusual place.

Gary is viewing Green Gardens, thus the view behind him shows the Tablelands, a 600 m (1,968 feet) high plateau. Green Gardens and the Tablelands are located south of Bonne Bay. Viewing the Tablelands gives the impression you're visiting the moon instead of park in Canada.
