Boreal Forest

Driving through the mountains, we happened upon another viewing area which was devoid of any information except a small educational plaque referring to the boreal forest. The still lake reflects the mountains, while in the foreground the trees are just starting to don their autumn foliage.

Boreal Forest

In this area, the mountains are covered with lush growth which is mostly balsam fir, spruce and black spruce intermingled with a few maple trees which provide a visual feast.

Boreal Forest

Debbie and Pru (our stuffed moose who enjoys going on vacation) get a breath of fresh air and enjoy the fantastic view.
