Although we heard no sounds, we observed fragments of the iceberg breaking off and falling into the water. Some of these ice chips were the size of the smaller pleasure craft. The ice that chipped off was slowly dispersed by the tides and wind.

We thought this ice fragment looked like an Egyptian sarcophagus. The dark lines are the points where this fragment will eventually break into more pieces.
