For those who like to play their golf while fighting mosquitoes, black flies or dodging rain, there is the Tamarack Golf and Country Club. This 18 hole, rating 70, par 72 course, totals 6,100 yards (5,578 meters) and is the only 18-hole golf course in Labrador. Green fees are $12 for nine holes and $20 for eighteen holes.
The course not only has the traditional sand, tree and water hazards, it also has live black bears that wander onto the course interested in stealing food from the golf bags.
Thus, it is highly recommended to not bring snacks onto the course.
The course also has a driving range. A net retrieves the balls at the end of the day.
