A Scoff an' Scuff's Labrador
Nordic (cross country) Skiing in Labrador City

Cross Country Ski Lodge

1975 was the beginning of Menihek-Nordic Cross-Country Ski Club. The trails have been used for international cross-country ski teams to train including the US team. The club also hosted a world cup cross-country ski event. Because of their expertise, two charter members of this club were invited to help prepare the cross-country ski trails for the Calgary Winter Olympics. The rates are very affordable with the 2002 annual family membership of $215 Canadian and a day pass of $10 per person (that's about $6.00 US).

There are also 16 km (10 miles) of recreational trails of which 6 km (3.7 miles) are lighted. There are also 27 km (16.7 miles) of groomed trails between Fermont, Quebec to Labrador City.
