After snow storms, town employees are busy removing snow to widen roads.
When the snow blower is in operation, there is a flag person directing traffic and keeping an eye out for children playing along the snow bank.

Gary took a break from shoveling snow from our driveway to take a photo of the snow.
If you have a short driveway, you may choose to not invest in a home snow blower. We remove snow with a scoop that is pushed along the ground full of snow and then up-ended to dump the snow. This scoop is good exercise and reduces the danger of heart-attacks and torn muscles associated with traditional snow shovels. That's an advantage when you remove an average 14 feet (426 cm) of snow per year. Since we live across from the lake, we push the snow across the street and the city's equipment pushes the snow over the bank onto the frozen lake. Thus we have a nice view all winter.
