- Where were you born and/or raised?
- He was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, and raised in Sunnyside, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland. His wife was born and raised in Grand Falls, Newfoundland.
- He is from St. John’s and she is from Bell Island, Newfoundland.
- I was born in London, England.
- Ottawa, then lived in northern Quebec and Montreal before coming to Labrador.
- Born and raised in Newfoundland.

- Why did you move to Labrador City?
- After being married for two years, they moved to Labrador City with their one year old child. They thought moving here was a great opportunity.
- Great promise for a large family.
- I and my family moved to Carol Lake (now Labrador City) when the mines in Elliot Lake closed down.
- Came to Lake Ashuanipi in 1960 to operate the first fishing and hunting camp in Western Labrador ... spent the winters in Montreal until 1966 when I moved to Labrador City permanently and continued to operate the fishing camp from here until I sold it in 1970.
- We moved to Labrador City because of the availability of a job.

- When did you arrive in Labrador City? (Who was with you?)
- We arrived in Labrador City on April 18, 1963. She arrived in July, 1963, with their child. Their other two children were born in Labrador City.
- He arrived solo in May, 1960. She along with their nine children in October, 1960.
- My husband and I and our two children arrived in 1960.
- Arrived in Labrador West (Lake Ashuanipi) in 1960, and Labrador City in 1966. On both occasions was accompanied by fishing camp personnel, several of whom established residency in Labrador City as well.
- We arrived on April 27th, 1966.
