A.P. Low Elementary

One of the interesting points is that after school is finished for the day or summer, the Labrador City Recreation Commission is in charge of the school buildings. The school facilities are used for men's and women's basketball, volleyball, broomball, gymnastics and in the early years for Scout and Guide meetings. A.P. Low houses the Snowbird Gymnastics Club and in winter is used for indoor walking. Although these activities provide a benefit for the community at large, it also benefits the school since any equipment required by the various clubs using the facilities is also available to be used by the school children.
