A favorite ruse in the bunkhouses was betting with new employees on the outcome of hockey games. Since most new employees were unaware that the game was a replay from the previous week, they would eagerly accept the bet since the other guy was not only predicting the outcome of the game but also the score. In the mid 1970s, CBC started providing "live" television and the area started getting news and sports along with the rest of Canada. | ||
