United Steel Worker's of America Union Building. The red box in front of the building goes over fire hydrants to keep snow from blocking off access. The red color and pole on top is so firemen can find them easily in deep snow. It also alerts snow clearing equipment where the hydrants are located. Each Wabush fire hydrant has its own red box for winter.

The Royal Canadian Legion in Wabush is co-sponsor of the telethon which helps raise money for the local hospital. It makes donations to Wabush minor sports organizations and sponsors the Labrador West Sea Cadets.
