On Sunday afternoons, people in north-central Kansas will jump in their cars or pick-ups and ride the country roads to check the progress of the crops in the fields. Although this may seem to not be a very exciting form of relaxation, you have to remember that crops equal money and thus the survival of the area. These drives often end with a delicious meal or an ice cream cone at various restaurants around the area. You will recognize these Sunday drivers because the vehicle contains three or four people who are pointing at crops, talking and taking their half out of the middle of the dirt roads.
