![]() In the mid 1960s Kensington required a larger high school and this addition was built. The reasons a larger school was required is because of the baby-boomers, one-room country schools were closing for students to go to larger schools and more students were staying in school longer. There were about 35 students in Debbie's freshman class and about 24 graduated. | ||||

The first thing you see when approaching Kensington is the black and gold standpipe or water tower. Black and Gold are the school's colors and the mascot is the Goldbug. Not many towns have enough school pride to paint the water tower in the school's colors.
