Quebec North Shore and Labrador Railway Station - Scenery 2

Waterfall

One of the many waterfalls along the QNS&L Railroad line. This fall drops approximately 150 meters (500 ft) into the Moisie River. From this point until shortly before Sept-Iles, the QNS&L Rail line parallels the river.

Train

Trains, such as this one snaking along the Moisie River, are made up of 200 to 240 ore cars and are approximately two miles (3¼ km) in length. It has three locomotives at the head of the train and two locomotives (referred to as slaves) approximately fifty cars from the tail of the train.
