Process - Control Room
| |
A portion of the control room for the grinding section of the concentrator. Gary works at this desk with all the monitoring equipment in this windowless and unheated room. There are twelve monitors, you can count eleven in this photo - one is hanging from the ceiling. Although the control booth looks like it's enclosed with windows, the gray poles actually carry the wires that monitor and control the equipment. From here, Gary is responsible for $250 million dollars worth of equipment and the safety of the men. You can easily see why Gary's glasses aren't bifocals!
