Pellet Plant - Screening and Pelletizing

greenballs

These screens are used to remove under and over sized greenballs. The under and oversize product is returned to the balling mills where the process begins again. Proper sized greenballs continue through production by a conveyer system.

Hearthlayer

After screening, the greenballs are distributed on a hearthlayer. This vibrating equipment positions the greenballs into an even layer. This is the final stage before entering the pelletizing machine.

pelletizing machine

The hearthlayer, moves the greenballs into the pelletizing machine where they are "baked" for approximately 45 minutes at a temperature of 1,260°C (2,300°F).
