The tour bus is approaching Luce Mine. It is much larger then it appears from the distance. The top of the remaining mountain is approximately 200 feet (61 meters) tall. It's hard to believe eventually it will be a hole in the ground a kilometer (0.6 mile) deep or deeper.
A shovel and haulage truck removing crude ore from the mine. When you consider the truck is 44 feet (14 meters) long, 24 feet (7.3 meters) wide and 23 feet (7 meters) high, that's one big chunk of mountain that's been removed.
