Question: What motivation do you have for continuing with this art form?

Answer: My family and I love the outdoors and sculpting. Snow sculpting lets us combine both of these passions. People of Labrador West show support and appreciation for our work by positive comments and kind words. Seeing people take a photo is encouraging and lets me know that the effort is appreciated. Sculpting is my way of participating in the community and the feedback helps me continually find the energy and willingness to carve.

Shawn is married to Linda and they have two daughters. He graduated from the Marine Institute in St. John's as a Marine Engineering Technologist. He is currently a Certified Engineering Technologist and works as a Process Leader for the Product Manufacturing Division of IOCC.
