Matching Pillow (12" x 28"):

The crib quilt (35" x 55") depicts pond inhabitants. The dragonflies, water lilies and ducks were designed by an online friend; the quilt was commissioned for another online friend's first grandchild. It is made from pink, green and yellow 100% cotton. This quilt is machine pieced, hand embroidered, machine appliqued and hand quilted. The backing is 100% cotton - the same print as the outside border. The binding around the scalloped edges is matching cotton. The batting is a light weight, warm fiberfill. The creatures are outlined quilted ¼". Each square is are outline quilted ¼" from the seams. The non-appliqued squares have a floral design quilted in the center. The border is quilted with an overlapping curve design. The quilt was completed on 28 June, 2008, which happens to be my mother's 92nd birthday.
