After the top was hand quilted:

The crib quilt (36" x 49") is a pattern called ships. It is made from white, beige and blues 100% cotton. This quilt is machine pieced and hand quilted. The backing is 100% white cotton. The binding is blue 100% cotton. The batting is a medium weight, warm fiberfill. The triangles and trapezoids are outlined quilted ¼" from the seams. The plain white sashing is quilted with a cable design. There is 69 linear yards (63 linear meters) of quilting; or 6.1 linear yards of quilting per each square foot with 6-7 stitches per inch. The quilt was completed on Gary's 59th birthday, April 9, 2008.
