Star Lights

The pattern is Star Lights from Oct/Nov 2007 in the magazine, Quilt, page 36. What makes this extra special is that my Kensington friend, Connie, gave me the book. The quilt is a Christmas gift for my step-daughter and her husband, Marrium and Robert. This queen sized quilt (92" x 104") top is made from plum, purple and green fabric scraps in 100% cotton and shown on a double-sized bed. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. The backing is 100% white cotton. The binding is purple. The batting is fiberfill. The big squares and outside the stars are outlined quilted ¼" from the seams in white quilting thread. There is 1.5 linear yards of quilting per each square foot with 5 stitches per inch. It was completed on December 11, 2007.
