The pattern is Country Roads, a free traditional block from © The Quilter's Cache/Marcia Hohn. You may view the pattern at http://www.quilterscache.com/C/CountryRoadsBlock.html.
This queen sized quilt (92" x 106") top is made from black, orange and berry fabric in 100% cotton and shown on a queen-sized bed. I purchased this fabric on vacation in St. Louis, Missouri.
It is machine pieced and hand quilted.
The backing is black 100% cotton. The binding is black. The batting is fiberfill.
The black and patterned triangles are outlined quilted ¼" from the seams in black quilting thread.
The border is quilted with a double cable design. The outside edge has berry squares on point in a field of black.
There is 284 yards of quilting, or 4.0 linear yards of quilting per each square foot with 6-7 stitches per inch.
It is the first quilt I hand-quilted on my new Grace Z44 quilting frame. It was completed on December 8, 2007. If you look closely, you can even see snow outside the window!
