This counted cross-stitch was made for my husband's Christmas gift. I hadn't done this type of hand work for about 15 years and this pattern by Dimensions was quite a challenge. But we're very happy with how it turned out. (Completed in December 2003)

These three counted cross-stitch samplers have an interesting history. I met another step-mother on-line who is also a step-daughter. She sent me several cross-stitch kits that had been her late-stepmother's with the understanding I'd do the work in honor of her step-mother. Not only am I doing the kits in honor of her step-mother and all women who accept the challenge of helping raise another woman's children; I plan to give the completed work to my step-children. (Top one was completed in April 2004; middle one completed in June 2004 and the bottom one completed in October 2004.)
