This 85" x 87" queen quilt is made from blues, rose, green and ivory 100% cotton. The backing is navy poly-cotton fabric. The double binding is navy 100% cotton. The batting is fiberfill. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. The large, ivory, square blocks are quilted with a feathered star design. The diamonds are outlined ¼ from the seams. The green border is quilted with interlocking curves and the three outside borders are quilted with parallel diagonal lines 2" apart.

A childhood friend will receive this quilt to be used on a raffle for her husband's support group to assist people who received massive electrical shocks. This is the friend that use to chase me with frogs, taught me to decorate mud pies with poison berries and how to etch smiles in sandstone circles. Joanne, now that we're older should we wonder why our mothers had gray hair?
