Log Cabin

This twin quilt top (68" x80") is made from blue, rose and ivory 100% cotton calico. The backing matches in a reverse print of ivory with small blue hearts calico. The double binding is blue cotton. The batting is fiberfill. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. It was completed in September 1988. The pieces are outlined ¼ from the seams and the bears are outline quilted. The border is quilted with parallel, diagonal lines 1' apart. There are 124 linear yards of quilting. The bears are rectangle shape, thus each piece was a different size which made cutting and sewing a bit of a challenge. Had to be careful or I'd end up with a bear upside down.
