Design Shapes - Triangles 1


The quilt to the above left is triangles made from color-coordinated scraps. The quilt to the left is pastel rainbow of triangles set with plain blocks in the ocean waves pattern. Triangles can be sewn by a large block and rotary cut into two triangles already sewn into squares.

These quilts add another shape to the triangles to make a pleasing pattern. The snowball nine patch on the left is a nine-patch block with four triangles around a square. The hold in the barn door is a modified nine-patch block with triangles in the corners.

The quilt to the left is Crosses and Losses and uses four small triangles and one large triangle to make each block. The quilt to the left are triangles set between long sashing.
