Color Placement - Snowball Nine Patch


All four of these quilts are a snowball nine-patch design. The color layout of the quilts can change the name of the pattern. The quilt in the upper left is also called "oddball". The quilt in the upper right looks similar to stars. The lower left quilt is often called "cane" because of it's resemblance to cane-backed chairs. The lower right quilt has a resemblance to an Irish Chain. The placement of the chosen colors can vastly change the finished look of the quilt.
